Local Wise Owl was founded by Abul Rob, a serial entrepreneur, startup investor, advisor, and realtor with experience across the UK and UAE.
Over the years, Abul has worked across retail, hospitality, property, and service-led businesses. His career includes senior roles at Just Eat and Delivery Hero, as well as founding HalalEat, a food delivery platform he later successfully exited.
But the idea for Local Wise Owl did not come from a boardroom. It came from real conversations.
Through his work in consultancy and real estate, Abul was often asked the same question by clients, friends, and business owners:
Who do you trust?
Sometimes they needed an accountant. Sometimes a solicitor. Sometimes a mortgage advisor, property expert, or another reliable professional. The problem was always the same. People did not just want options. They wanted someone credible, experienced, and safe to deal with.
That is where the idea for Local Wise Owl began.
Abul realised that finding trusted help should not depend on who you happen to know. It should be easier, clearer, and more reliable for everyone.
