Wallet Credit & Redemption Policy

These terms explain how Local Wise Owl wallet credit works and how it can be used on our platform.

1. What is wallet credit?

Wallet credit is promotional credit that may be added to a user’s Local Wise Owl account from time to time.

Wallet credit is provided at Local Wise Owl’s discretion and may be offered as part of promotions, campaigns, referrals, goodwill gestures or other platform activities.

Wallet credit has no cash value. It cannot be withdrawn, transferred, exchanged for cash or paid into a bank account.

2. Where wallet credit can be used

Wallet credit can only be used on Local Wise Owl for eligible services offered by selected participating partners.

Wallet credit can only be redeemed against eligible retail listed services where the total purchase value is more than £50.00.

Wallet credit cannot be used for every service on the platform. Availability may depend on the service type, provider, location, promotion rules or any other criteria set by Local Wise Owl.

3. Services excluded from wallet credit redemption

Wallet credit cannot be used for:

• Services where statutory fees, government fees, court fees, Companies House fees, HMRC fees or similar official fees are payable
• Bespoke quotation services arranged directly with a specialist provider
• Services purchased outside the Local Wise Owl platform
• Any service where the participating provider does not accept wallet credit
• Any service or transaction that Local Wise Owl reasonably decides is not eligible

4. No cash alternative

Wallet credit is not money and does not represent a cash balance.

Users cannot:

• Withdraw wallet credit
• Transfer wallet credit to another user
• Sell wallet credit
• Exchange wallet credit for cash
• Use wallet credit outside Local Wise Owl
• Ask for unused wallet credit to be refunded

If an eligible booking is cancelled or refunded, Local Wise Owl may decide whether any wallet credit used should be returned to the user’s account.

5. Abuse and misuse

Wallet credit must only be used fairly and in line with these terms.

Local Wise Owl may remove, suspend or cancel wallet credit if we believe there has been abuse, misuse or suspicious activity. This may include:

• Creating multiple accounts to claim extra credit
• Using false or misleading details
• Attempting to sell, transfer or trade wallet credit
• Placing fake bookings or artificial transactions
• Working with a provider or another user to misuse wallet credit
• Using wallet credit in a way that breaches our website terms
• Any activity that Local Wise Owl considers unfair, fraudulent or harmful to the platform

Where abuse is suspected, Local Wise Owl may also suspend or close the user’s account and cancel any related bookings or benefits.

6. Changes to this policy

Local Wise Owl reserves the right, without notice, to amend, suspend or withdraw the wallet credit redemption policy, eligibility criteria, participating partners, excluded services, redemption limits or promotional terms at our discretion.

Any changes may apply to existing and future wallet credit, unless we state otherwise.

7. Final decision

Local Wise Owl’s decision on wallet credit eligibility, redemption, misuse, cancellation or account restrictions will be final.

Using wallet credit means you agree to this Wallet Credit and Redemption Policy.
